Abstract: A woman who is pregnant for the first time may have some newlineapprehension, uneasiness regarding childbirth, it may lead to anxiety, risk for newlinecomplication and it may also affect her functioning during labour. Instead of newlinebeing joyful and exciting, pregnancy may become a worrisome event in few newlinewomen. Some amount of fear is rational and acceptable. It is understandable newlinethat women may have some apprehension because of lack of experience and newlineupcoming responsibilities of motherhood. Increasing awareness and newlineeducation may make them knowledgeable. newlineThere is lack of research work on Lamaze method of child birth in our newlinecountry with view to find some novel method by which an expectant mother is newlineprepared for child birth by education, psychological and physical conditioning. newlineSo this present study was carried out to find the effectiveness of Lamaze newlinemethod on mode of labour. The main goal of current study is a healthy mother newlineand healthy baby and to give them the skills and knowledge to cope with various aspects of pregnancy and labour, thereby helping them to be informed newlineand confident in order to facilitate a normal childbirth . newlineAim newlineThe aim of the study is to to determine the effectiveness of Lamaze newlinemethod on mode of labour among primi gravid women newlineThe overall findings of this study revealed that Lamaze method is newlineeffective to overcome their fears and anxieties about labour and child birth in newlineprimigravid mothers and helped them more confident about their child birth newlineThus Lamaze method helped in facilitation of normal child birth. newline
