Abstract: There is a need to screen the overweight and obese children to rule out newlinethe complications associated with obesity. School health nurse was appointed newlinein every school setting to ensure the role has limited towards basic newlinemeasurements and need to focus on the basic parameter for early newlineidentification of non-communicable diseases. The most important measure to newlinetackle the burden of childhood obesity is through education. Obesity focused education is a must. Spreading the knowledge on healthy eating foods, newlinephysical activity, regular physical exercises and sedentary lifestyle which newlineimprove the health status of the obese children. With this background the newlinestudy aim to measure the bio physiological variables like height weight, body newlinemass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), Hip circumference(HC) , waist newlinehip ratio (WHR), and blood pressure and biochemical variables like, fasting newlineblood sugar, postprandial blood sugar, Total cholesterol Triglycerides , high newlinedensity lipoprotein, low density lipoprotein, very low density lipoprotein and newlinecholesterol /HDL ratio and the study also investigates the related variables newlinelike their positive family history, physical activity level, eating habits newline
