Abstract: newline Human resources is a valuable and most preferred resources in every newlineorganization. The liberalization, variations in the technological advancement have led to newlinethe development of more skilled, committed and thriving workforce. This trend of the newlineworkforce has a lot of effect on the downsizing, mergers, restructuring of the newlineorganization which affects the well being and a sense of loyalty and commitment. So newlinemore focus is being done on the organisational culture as this will ensure a nurturing of newlineconducive environment for the employees to thrive in the highly dynamic business newlineenvironment. The right organisational culture will drive the employees to enjoy the work newlineenvironment accustomed themselves with their co-workers and strive them for goal newlineaccomplishments. The need of the hour is creating a conducive organizational culture newlinewhere employees become committed and thereby recognize their potential for the right newlineperformance. As each and every individual differs from one another, so every newlineorganization and it s employees and one company s employee vary from one another. newlineSome aspects which is positive among the public sector employees are motivated by newlinevariables that is not available among private sector employees. As the business newlineenvironment is changing very rapidly, the interaction between the person and the newlineenvironment has to be adaptive. So the clear organisational culture which helps in the newlineemployees to easily adapting the company s vision and values. Organisational culture newlineand employee commitment can enhance the employee performance of the firm. A strong newlineculture is found when employees are conscious of the goals of the organization and newlineconsistency is found to attain them. The socio-economic development in the state of newlineOdisha is instrumental due to robust growth of its industrial sector. There is a vast newlinestructural change seen in the economy of Odisha with the development and investment newlineof Public Sector Units. So it has become essential to study some of these industries newlinewith their organisational culture which will lead to greater and enhanced productivity newlineand generating of employee commitment to the values and philosophies of the newlineorganization. newlineThe study on organisational culture with multitude of aspects along with many newlinedimensions can help the employees in overall commitment and thus show higher newlinevi newlineperformance. The public sector steel industry and private sector steel industry in newlineformulating new business model needs to link up the employees commitment and newlineperformance for the long term sustainability. So aligned with the mission, values and newlinenorms the high performing organization with strong organizational culture can have a newlinecommitted workforce and can be sustained by improving the performance of the
