Effectiveness of TIPER Tailor made Interventional Package to Enhance Relaxation on Stress Depression and Anxiety Among Elders at Selected Old Age Homes Pondicherry

ABSTRACT newline newlineRelaxation intervention package is helpful to the elders in the old age home to decrease the level of depression, stress and anxiety. The study was aimed to assess the level of stress, depression and anxiety among elders before and after administering TIPER in study group. To associate the selected socio-demographic variables with the level of stress, depression and anxiety, the study was designed. The study group comprised of 45 samples in Cluny Home Care, PONCARE and control group (45 samples) in Volontariat Anbunilaiyam, Puducherry. DASS-21 and Trait Anxiety Inventory and ICD-10 were used as screening tool. The results indicated that there is a significant relation between TIPER and stress, depression, etc. However, the correlation between demographic variables and stress, and anxiety was rejected. Hence, TIPER is effective in reducing depression, anxiety and stress among elders. newline
