Abstract: | Children are the delicate flower who wilts away before they bloom due to the life newlinethreatening diseases. These diseases are responsible for mortality among school going newlinechildren. newlineObjectives: 1)To assess the prevalent problems among school going children and newlinepreventive measures taken by health professionals, 2)To find out the co- relation newlinebetween problems and preventive measures among school going children, 3)To newlinedetermine the association between knowledge score of health professionals and their newlineselected demographic variables. newlineMaterial and methods: Ethical approval was obtained from the Ethics committee newlineof Nims University, Jaipur. GH Ratia, Civil hospital Fatehabad, Community Health newlineCenter Bhuna and Polyclinic Fatehabad four hospitals were selected for study. newlinePurposive sampling technique was used to select the health professionals and records newlinewere taken from all selected hospitals. Total 200 health professionals were enrolled in newlinethe study and data obtained from 1000 School going children s. Tools for data newlinecollection consist of Structured Knowledge Questionnaire related to Sociodemographic newlineprofile of health professionals, Records of hospitals of District newlineFatehabad regarding prevalent problems and preventive measures. newlineResults: Results revealed that the knowledge of health professionals was highly newlinesignificant regarding prevalent problems and preventive measures among School newlinegoing Children s i.e. more than half 65% subjects has average knowledge and 35% newlinewere having good. newlineConclusion: The study concluded that majority of the children are suffering from newlineanemia and respiratory infections. Apart from this worm infestations, skin diseases, newlinedental caries diarrhea, typhoid fever, scabies, eye problems etc. Preventive measures newlinetaken by the health professional are distribution of iron and folic acid tablets, vitamin newline A, deworming, immunization and health teachings to the mothers ,family members newlineregarding prevention of infection and weaning process. newlineKey words: Prevalent problems, Preventive measures, Health professionals, Dynamic |
