This thesis presents a detailed account of artificial intelligence based newlineoptimized energy distribution system for effective utilization of hybrid renewable newlineenergy system, based on fuzzy logic Controller (FLC). The system consists of solar newlinephotovoltaic panels, wind turbine, fuel cell system and batteries for energy storage. newlineHybrid renewable energy with solar and either wind or fuel cell are used as primary newlinesources in a hybrid renewable energy system and a battery bank is considered as a newlinestorage device to meet out the load demand in case of insufficient power generation newlinefrom primary sources. newlineA fuzzy logic controller is developed to manage the power flow between the newlinehybrid power sources and storage devices and also other utilities / household newlineappliances in distribution side in the system. The controller selects the optimal newlineoperating mode of primary sources ensuring the continuous supply of the load and newlinemaintaining the charge state of battery. Proposed controller provides an effective newlineutilization of sources and utilities in distribution side. Loads are considered based on newlinethe priority in the distribution side. The ratings of hybrid renewable energy system newlinecomponents such as solar PV, wind generator, Fuel cell, battery unit, power newlineelectronic converter, etc., are optimally selected based on the rating of load. Hence, newlinethe Fuzzy logic Controller (FLC) is used here to obtain the maximum utilization of newlinehybrid renewable energy using a battery. newlineA complete mathematical modeling, MATLAB / Simulink model and hardware newlinemodel for the proposed system is implemented to optimize the system performance. newlineSimulation results are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed hybrid newlinerenewable energy control system. The Real-time measured parameters and newlinepractical load profiles are used as inputs for the developed hybrid renewable energy newlinesystem. The proposed model and its control strategy offer a proper tool for newlineoptimizing the hybrid power system performance and distributed load scheduling to newlineuse in smart-house applications.
