Abstract: | Face recognition a long term goal of computer vision is a newlineComputer based security system that automatically detects and identifies newlinehuman faces Facial recognition has gained increasing interest in recent newlinedecades One notable aspect of face recognition is its broad interdisciplinary newlinenature in the field of computer recognition, pattern recognition biometrics newlinesecurity multimedia processing psychology and neuroscience Over the newlineyears several new techniques have been developed to attain high success rate newlinefor the face detection and recognition for authentication in security systems newlineThe advancements in face recognition techniques promise to spread its use in newlinethe field of biometrics In this work the face recognition techniques under newlinevaried conditions are reviewed its methodology are analyzed Also the newlinevarious applications where these techniques are currently used and where newlinethey have their future potential are discussed newlineThis intended work primarily is dealt with the usage of simplified newlinelocal binary mean and mean based weight matrix algorithms to achieve higher newlinedetection and recognition rate This work experiments the concept of support newlinevector machine for face detection that can locate the position of the face from newlinea given image newline newline |
