Abstract: | E-government Domain uses ICT to modernize their administrative process to provide public services and to interact with citizens by using the services of internet. As citizens are experiencing good services from the private sector and become more web Savvy, so they start expecting the same high quality services from government agencies for public services. Although, e-government provides access to information to citizen increasing transparency and improve communication between public and government, but is achieved at high cost to government. newlineGovernment is trying to provide its services in a better way through government websites so that public can make use of available government services and information from any place and at any time. However, in order to provide government services to public, the government website must be fully usable and accessible to the public. To provide better usability and accessibility of Indian Government website to citizens, the MeitY and GOI has designed a set of guidelines that are based on ISO and W3C web content accessibility guidelines. However, it has been noticed that majority of the currently available websites of government fare poorly in terms of usability and accessibility and it negatively affects the e-government programme and the level of confidence between government and public. newlineThis research gives brief description of e-government, open standards, open source software, Interoperability, open government and data, Website usability and accessibility. The research also includes the methodology to find out tools and techniques to meet multilingual and localization challenges. It discusses the methodology followed to find the technologies and solutions of Open Government Data and also describes the automated tools used to test the accessibility of e-government websites. With the use of SPSS analysis tool, the research analyze the hypothesis, identify of factors, use measurement and scaling techniques, perform reliability check and analyze the data. newlineIt mentions the tools and |
