Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks (MWSNs) have become more popular with increasing newlineapplications in lifestyle tracking, smart homes, etc. The communication between sensor nodes newlineand sink happens through the wireless multi hop. Although MWSN is alike in many aspects to newlinefixed or static Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), there exists a major difference regarding the newlinemovement of nodes. Due to movement, the link lifetime changes and the routing is disrupted. newlineDue to this dynamism in topology, the Quality of Service (QoS) in terms of throughput, packet newlinesuccess ratio, delay, network overhead, etc. are affected. This in turn creates lot many challenges newlinein the commercial viability of the solution. newlineMaintaining application-specific QoS in terms of packet delivery ratio is challenging in newlinefrequently fault-dominated mobile sensor networks. This challenge cannot be met with a newlinesolution-focused on a single OSI layer alone. Thus, a cross layer solution is needed for ensuring newlinefault tolerant QoS guaranteed routing in mobile sensor networks. Also due to attacks like newlinemessage drops, QoS in MWSN is affected even more. newlineTowards this problem, this research first proposes a solution based on a proactive routing table. newlineDue to its shortcomings, the work then proposes two different solutions based on cross layer newlinedesign. In the first solution, a Cross layer solution including MAC, Network, Session and newlineApplication layer is proposed. At each layer, a novel method is incorporated to provide higher newlineQoS even with the presence of faults. In the second solution, security attacks against the cross newlinelayer solution are detected and mitigated. The cross layer solution is secured against message newlinedropping and flooding attacks. newline
