Abstract: ABSTRACT newline newlineTITLE OF THE STUDY: Psycho-Social Intervention Package on Social anxiety, Social skills and Professional Adjustment among Nursing Students . The aim of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Psycho-Social Intervention Package on Social anxiety, Social skills and Professional Adjustment among Nursing Students. Method: A Quasi-Experimental Study with time-series design was adapted for the study. The study was conducted in 8 nursing colleges. 200 samples were selected. Social anxiety was identified through SIAS standardized public domain tool of R.P.MattickandJ.C.Clarke, modified Social skill assessment scale (SSAS), public domain tool developed by Arnold P. Goldstein, Robert P.et al, used to identify the level of social skills and Professional adjustment was assessed by Professional Adjustment Scale (PAS) self-rating instrument developed by the investigator and validated by various experts.Interventions included in psychosocial intervention package are Psychoeducation, cognitive-restructuring, social skill training and professional adjustment strategies. RESULTS: The analysis revealed that the overall mean difference between study and control group of social anxiety, social skills and professional adjustment in posttest-2 was 14.0, 22.55,23.95 and the t value was 12.754 , t=12.572, t=8.759 respectively ,that was highly significant at p lt0.001. The above difference in scores indicated that the psychosocial intervention package were effective in the reduction of social anxiety and improvement in social skills and professional adjustment among nursing students. There was an existing negative correlation between social anxiety and professional adjustment and a positive correlation between social skills and professional adjustment. CONCLUSION: The study concluded that the psychosocial intervention package was effective. newline newline
