Neuro Linguistic Programme on Academic Stress and Performance Among Nursing Students

Abstract newline newlineObjective: To assess the effectiveness of Neuro Linguistic Program on academic stress and performance among nursing students in the selected nursing colleges, Chennai. Methods: A quasi experimental design was adopted and a simple random technique was used to select the settings consequently, purposive sampling technique was used to select the 200 samples. Results: Findings revealed that, in study group t value was 20.64 p value at 0.001, shows that there is a statistically high significant difference found between preand post-test level of academic stress. In regard to academic performance, in the study and control group, the calculated t value (25.91 and- 1.468) respectively, which is lesser than the p value at 0.001 level. Therefore, findings reveals that NLP technique was effective in decreasing the academic stress and thereby improving the level of academic performance. Regarding correlation, there was a significant negative correlation between the academic stress and performance (r = - 0.524) at plt0.001. newline
