Abstract: | The growth and development of the economy is only feasible when impact of microfinance lending shall be meant for the entire segment of society or community which is underprivileged and suffering from the severe conditions of poverty. This is quite probable when a major chunk of women section are encouraged to become self dependent to take initiatives in their lives for their family well being both individually and for community. The purpose is to eliminate the discrimination between the gender biasness and also discouraging the disparities of income in the society. Their social, economic or political stature is still not encouraged to that extent which was anticipated. It has been examined that women have been encouraged to show their maximum participation in microfinance programme to serve the purpose of the same. newlineThe study examines the impact of microfinance on poverty eradication and employment generation programs in study area of districts of Uttar Pradesh. The study is conducted by comparing the participants of programme with non-participants through collection of primary and secondary. The comparison depicts the results of microfinance program have resulted in raising the income of the participants and mitigating conditions of income inequality as well. It has relieved them from the vicious circle of poverty and generated employability also. Different techniques like Descriptive Statistics, Spearman Rank Correlation, Chi square test, Kruskal Wallis test are utilized between participants and non-participants to find out the association and distribution or differences among factors. The study unveils that microfinance programs and initiatives had been successful in relieving people from the clutches of poverty and exploring their economic activities in rural areas encouraging their employment opportunities. newline |
