Abstract: | In the modern world, medical equipment should provide an entire technical and medical support. It also should guarantee an accurate diagnosis of human diseases. With the changing advancements of medicine industry and technology, the demand of high imaging,quality, efficient, stable medical equipment is also increasing. Nowadays X-ray machines are one of the widely used medical imaging devices for diagnosing diseases. It requires high-voltage and high frequency power supplies with various energy requirements. newline newline newlineHowever, medical X-ray machines have some disadvantages like poor imaging quality, less stability, lower efficiency, high energy consumption etc., which makes the X-ray machine operators and patients to find difficulty and to absorb more X-ray. Also, when X-ray appliances are used continuously in Industries for scanning of sealed packs, they get highly heated up due to the heating up of the X-Ray generator. The heat produced can be reduced by reducing the losses and errors occurring in it. newline newline newlineWhen it is used in Medicinal field, to adjust the required image quality and to minimize the ripple of the output voltage, providing high voltage source is the key solution. Higher voltage and frequency based power supplies are mainly used in medical applications like medical diagnostic, plasma processing, etc. This work provides HV power supply for X-ray machine and also reduces the errors occurring in it. newline newline newlineDue to the continuous growth of power electronic devices, an efficient, compact and high-power converters are expected from the newline newline newline newlineused end. Resonant converters (RC) can provide high power and frequency over other hard switched converters. As it provides soft switching of power devices, it results with a compact and more efficient converter which can be used for X-ray applications.
