Abstract: In recent times, as there is tremendous growth in electronic personal health records, data owners are more likely to outsource their data to cloud for easy and high quality storage and retrieval without thinking much about local data management and maintenance. But secure sharing and searching for the data which was outsourced is a difficult task, which may lead to leakage of sensitive personal information. Secure data sharing of sensitive information stored in cloud is very important as anybody can access it from anywhere in the world. newlineAttribute Based Encryption (ABE) is an efficient method for secure encryption and sharing of sensitive data in the cloud. This research work offers a novel method for secure sharing of medical records using enhanced Ciphertext Policy- Attribute-Based Encryption (CP-ABE) along with data owner specifying the access control policies. The proposed algorithm also reduces the size of the search key token and search time while searching on encrypted data using Bloom filter. newline newline newline newlineAttribute based encryption (ABE) is a fine-grained access control mechanism, which enables a set of users to have differential access rights based on attributes. ABE is also a flexible method to define access rights of each user. newline newline newline newlineBloom filter is a technique which can be used to search the files that are stored in the cloud. In this research, secure key sharing was implemented using KP-ABE and searching using Bloom Filter. Finally performance analysis was done to check the execution time of CP-ABE and KP-ABE searching files using Bloom filter. newlinePersonal Health Record (PHR) information exchange is a model for sharing of personal medical records, which allows a person to create, manage and control his medical information in a centralized place through the cloud. A person can now share his medical records effectively with a wide variety of users such as family members, friends, consultants, doctors and insurance agencies. The main concern is about the privacy of patientand#8223;s PHR and who could gain access to the medical
