Perceptions of school heads teachers and management committee memebers towards implementation procedures of the right to education Act 2009

Abstract

This study aims to analyze perceptions of Elementary school heads, teachers and school management committee members and make comparison between their perceptions on the basis of location toward implementing procedures of the Right to Education Act 2009.The data was collected from100 heads ,300 teachers and 200 school management committee members from 120 government elementary schools of district Sahid Bhagat Singh Nagar of Punjab by administering the different questionnaires prepared for teachers, heads and school management committee members .The major finding revealed that there is no high favorable level of perceptions of heads, teachers and school management committee members towards implementing procedures of the Right to Education Act 2009.There is significant difference between perceptions of heads ,teachers and school management committee members on the basis of location towards implementation procedures of the Right to Education Act 2009.The stakeholder s perceptions clearly revealed the unconvinced with the some of the provision of RTE 2009. So Centre and State Government should value the perceptions of stakeholder for up bringing the positive improvement in the field of Education to improve quality of Education. newline
