Abstract: Plants are known to sense levels of different nutrients in the rhizosphere and respond accordingly, therefore this work helped in uncovering how Fe and P signaling networks are interlinked to help plants adapt to stress conditions at morphological, physiological, transcriptomic and metabolomic levels. In addition to morphology, specific signature core components involved in central mechanisms and metabolic reprogramming scenarios under Fe deficiency and the Fe-P cross-talk were identified in wheat. In future, these results would help in designing strategies for development of wheat cultivars with improved Fe and P use efficiency and deficiency tolerance. newline
