Abstract: | The thesis entitled Design, Synthesis characterization and application of compounds derived from amino acids and their metal complexes is divided into five chapters. The title of the thesis clearly reflects the objective of the work. The work includes the synthesis of proteinogenic amino acids derivatives and its complexes, spectral characterization of the synthesised derivatives and complexes and determination of their antimicrobial activities. newline newlineChapter 1 is the general introduction on proteinogenic and non proteinogenic natural amino acids derivatives and its biological significances, synthetic study of proteinogenic and non proteinogenic amides and beta amino alcohols derived from amino acids and its metal complexes its biological importance in pharma field such as antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities have been described reported from the recent literature survey. Chapter 2 is on method of synthesis of N-2-(4-Chlorophenyl) acetyl derivatives of (S)-amino acids (4-CPA, 4-CPPA, 4-CPM, 4-CPT, 4-CPL, and 4-CPP), materials used in the synthetic and extraction methods, It also been explain the methods used for the characterization and determination of structures of the newly synthesized compounds were established by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and IR spectroscopic analysis. The instruments used and procedure followed for spectral characterization is given in the present chapter. Chapter 3 is on method of synthesis of N-{2-(4-Chlorophenyl) acetyl} amino alcohols (4-CPA-OH, 4-CPPA-OH, 4-CPM-OH, 4-CPT-OH, 4-CPL-OH, and 4-CPP-OH) by reduction of compound were synthesised in chapter 2, materials used in the VII synthetic and extraction methods. It also been explain the methods used for the characterization and determination of structures of the newly synthesized compounds were established by 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, and IR spectroscopic analysis. The instruments used and procedure followed for spectral characterization is given in the present chapter. |
