Abstract: | newlineDiabetes, one of the main global emergencies, chronic non-communicable newlinediseases, has become one of the largest global health-care problems of the 21st newlinecentury. The total number of people with diabetes is projected to raise from 425 newlinemillion in 2017 to 629 million in 2045. The number of people with diabetes in South newlineEast Asia including India was around 82 million in 2017 and is expected to rise 151 newlinemillion by 2045. In North India diabetes and dyslipidemia is more common because newlineof speedy westernization of lifestyle.In Ayurveda Indian traditional system of newlinemedicine has also described diabetes under heading of Prameha with same sign and newlinesymptoms by which now a days disease is known. On the basis of Prakriti newline(phenotype) the disease is described as Kaphaja Prameha, Pittaja Prameha and newlineVataja Prameha. |
