Abstract: newline Synthesis of metal nanoparticles is considered a vital aspect of nanobiotechnology and newlinenanochemistry research. Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) exhibit tremendous applications in newlinetherapeutics, drug delivery, bioimaging, biolabeling, photocatalysis, waste management, water newlinepurification, etc. The advantage of nanosilver over other noble NPs like gold, platinum, newlinepalladium, copper etc. are due to its low cost, high electrical and thermal conductivity, nontoxicity, newlinechemical stability, and wide absorption of visible and far IR light. The plant-mediated newlinegreen synthetic approach of AgNPs is greatly advantageous over physical, chemical and microbial newlinemethods as the process is entirely devoid of hazardous chemicals, irradiations and costly newlinemachineries. The green-synthesis of AgNPs is rapid, low cost, eco-friendly method, wherein the newlinephytochemicals play a pivotal role in the bioreduction of bulk metal to nanoscale. newlineThe present research was undertaken with the objective to synthesize novel AgNPs newlineusing some plants of Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh, India, and to explore their biological and newlinephotocatalytic activity.
