Abstract: The proliferation of New Media fuelled by the internet has altered the availability of Knowledge and contents in India and elsewhere. The sprint of new media technologies has influenced the adolescent life of school children across the world. The post covid-19 situation has witnessed the same and the preparedness to accept the technological changes has been tested particularly in case of Education when social distancing becomes compulsory. newlineAssessment of the perceived impact of New Media consumption by senior secondary school students in India on the expected learning outcomes is the core objective of the study. The majority of younger generation including student community has been using or accessing the New Media technologies by means of internet enabled devices called New Media devices. The New Media have changed and simplified the lives of the children and other young generation of users in general and the arena of school education in term of Scholastic and Co-scholastic domain has been significantly affected. The consumption of the New Media by school going students is steadily increasing in Indian cities. The current study evaluates the New Media access; New Media use patterns, uses and impact of New Media among the senior secondary class-XII students of North Indian cities. newline
