Abstract: The fascination on flying creatures is there since the inception of mankind. Although successful with flight using fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft, the fascination on flapping flyers is still present. It is because of the extraordinary flight performance shown by natural flyers in terms of the long range and high endurance abilities, super quick acceleration and manoeuvring abilities shown. Hence, flapping wing technology when completely understood and developed can enable these extraordinary features in human made aircraft. Moreover, flapping wings shows to be a better option for propelling Micro Aerial Vehicles (MAVs). Hence, the interest and funds spent on development of flapping wing technology are increasing day by day newline
