Abstract

newlineRecent years have witnessed a dramatic development in chemistry and their newlineapplications of metal complexes based on dithiocarbamate ligands. The 1,1-dithiolate newlineligands and their complexes have been found to show diverse applications as newlineconducting, magnetic, optical material, in the area of medicine (as pesticides, newlinefungicides) and high pressure lubricating agents, agriculture, engineering and newlinematerials, magnetic and conducting properties and potential applications as newlinesensitizers in solar schemes. The dithiocarbamate complexes have also been found as newlinesingle source MOCVD precursors for the preparation of metal sulphides, floatation newlineagents in metallurgy, scavenger for removal of heavy metals from the waste, newlinepetroleum additives, vulcanization accelerators in rubber industry and their newlineimportance in biological systems.
