Exclusion Of Denotified Communities In Uttar Pradesh Interrogating The Social Development Perspectives

Abstract

newlineThis study has been framed in six chapters. The work begins with an Introductory part which discussed about denotified community, Issue of Identification, colonial understanding of caste, tribes and race, Criminal Tribes Act, and formation of Criminal Identity of Denotified Community with different theoretical perspectives . The second chapter deals with the Review of Literature; and examined a number of books, articles, journals, Gazetteers and reports dealing with my research problem. The chapter third deals with Locale of Study and Research Methodology (statement of the problem, objectives of study, sampling, and techniques of data collection, analysis, interpretation and limitation of the study). The chapter fourth examines the Socio-Economic Status of the Denotified Communities based on the analysis of collected data. And I generalised the socioeconomic status of denotified communities of Uttar Pradesh on the basis of data collected from Bawaria community of Shamli district. The chapter five deals with Identity Formation and Political Mobilization of the Denotified Community of Uttar Pradesh and seeks to explain and elaborate the formation process of social and political movements among denotified communities of Uttar Pradesh. The chapter six is solely based on Conclusion: Towards a Comprehensive Plan for the Development of Denotified Communities.
