Abstract: This Research study was intended to establish the Role and effect of National Cadet Corps (NCC) training on development of Soft Skills leading to Holistic development of tribal area NCC cadets under NCC Group Headquarters, Vadodara, Gujarat. The study was conducted on a sample of 336 NCC cadets of Army Wing under Senior Wing (Girls) and Senior Division (Boys) studying in different Colleges of three tribal districts of Narmada, Bharuch and Chhotaudepur of South East Gujarat by giving due representation to gender (Boys and Girls) and the year of NCC training i.e. I, II and IIIrd year. Questionnaire method was used for collecting the data for the study. The Questionnaire analysed their personal attributes apart from studying the effect of NCC training on Social, Personal, Group and Economic empowerment through self-analysis and appraisal. Following the Questionnaire the cadets were observed and interacted with individually at NCC Camp sites, colleges and during practical examination of NCC Certificate examinations at Vadodara, Surat and Rajpipla in 2019 and 2020.The obtained data were analysed quantitatively and qualitatively to arrive at the findings and results. The findings indicate that there exists a positive relation between NCC training and Holistic Development of NCC cadets during and post their NCC training through first to third year. The chances of those students participating in NCC to have a better Holistic and all-round personality are very high as recorded in this study. The Research Scholar found positive and significant relationship between different types of soft skill development linked to various NCC training methodologies leading to Holistic development and participation in NCC training for the entire sample. The contribution of these NCC cadets to the society as a whole and Nation cannot be undervalued. These cadets contribute in Social Work sphere as well through Social Work curriculum of NCC and their growth as a responsible citizen. newline
