Abstract: The investigations presented in this Thesis deal with expression, localization, and role of QRFP and its receptor in mouse testis. QRFP, a hypothalamic neuropeptide, and its receptor (GPR103) are primarily expressed in hypothalamus and are involved in regulation of various physiological functions. In addition to brain, QRFP and GPR103 have also been expressed in several peripheral organs. In the present study, expression and localization of QRFP and GPR103 were investigated in the testis of Parkes (P) mice during different stages of postnatal development; further the role of the peptide in testicular functions was also investigated in P mice. newline
