Algebra traditionally has been the most difficult area of the mathematics curriculum in terms of teaching and learning (Kieran, 2007). There are considerable numbers of studies on effectiveness of various teaching strategy over conventional method of teaching. Few studies address the issue using ICT and computer based intervention in algebra (Aydand#305;n et al., 2018; Jhariya, B. P., and Shinde, L., 2016; Ilyas, et al. 2013; Jupri, et al., 2015). Literature reveals that algebraic reasoning and algebraic achievement are closely related on the grounds that algebraic reasoning is the key factor in the algebraic development (Bazzini, L., and Tsamir, P. 2004; Subramaniam, K., and Banerjee, R. 2004; Lian, L. H., and Yew, W. T. 2012; Jonsson, et al., 2014). newlineHence, the objectives of present research are twofold: one is to develop a module on algebraic reasoning (MAR) for the students of class VIII. Second is to study the effectiveness of a module on algebraic achievement (AA) and algebraic reasoning (AR) of students of class VIII. So as to improve algebraic achievement and foster algebraic reasoning through module, and to develop students thinking processes which will enhance their knowledge in algebra newline
