Abstract: | This thesis presents a detailed study of the structural, electrical, and magnetic properties of newlinetransition metal doped cobalt chromite (CoCr2O4) nanoparticles. Cobalt chromite nanoparticles newlinewith different dopants such as scandium, magnesium-nickel, and bismuth have been prepared newlineusing the solution combustion method. The as-prepared samples have been studied by employing newlinevarious characterization methods like X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) newlinespectroscopy, and Raman spectroscopy for structural analysis. Electrical and magnetic properties newlinehave been studied from impedance analysis and superconducting quantum interference device newline(SQUID) experiments, respectively. The thesis is arranged into six chapters as detailed below: newline newlineThe first chapter provides an introduction to spinel oxides, the crystal structure of CoCr2O4, crystal newlinefields in spinels, and negative magnetization. A detailed literature survey of the host materials, newlinedielectric and magnetic properties of CoCr2O4 are mentioned.
