Effectiveness of Reproductive Surrogacy Package on Level of Acceptance and Practice among Infertile Couples

ABSTRACT newlineAdvances in assisted reproductive techniques have revolutionized the reproductive environment, resulting in surrogacy as the most desirable option. The system of surrogacy has given hope to many infertile couples, who long to have a child of their own. Hence researcher was interested to find the effectiveness of Reproductive Surrogacy Package on level of acceptance and practice of surrogacy among infertile couples. The quantitative approach with quasi experimental control design research design was used and was conducted at G.G Fertility Center, Numgambakkam, Chennai. Purposive sampling technique was used and 170 samples were allotted in the study group and 170 samples in the control group. In experiment group, On an average, in post-test after having intervention, infertile couplesare gained 19.21 more acceptance score than pre-test score. In control group, On an average, in post-test, infertile couplesare gained 0.44 more acceptance score than pre-test score. Difference of gain score between experiment and control group shows the effectives of the study. Effectiveness of the study was given in mean with 95% confidence interval. The present study concludes that the Reproductive Surrogacy Package was effective in increasing the level of acceptance and practice of surrogacy among infertile couples. Hence the study suggested that Reproductive Surrogacy Package is an effective module in promotion of hope of the infertile couples and prevention of infertility. newline newline
