Comparison of skill performance among soccer players in relation to their motor fitness and coordinative abilities

Abstract

Present study is an effort by the researcher to compare the skill performance of soccer players in relation to their motor fitness and coordinative abilities. The study was delimited to sub junior, national level male soccer players, to the subjects of under-14 years, five northern states of India i.e. Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab. The study was further confined to SAI Soccer Skill test (1992) for measuring general playing ability of soccer players. It may also act as guideline for All India football federation (AIFF), state football associations, government and private soccer academies and coaches to formulate and develop training schedule of International standard for young footballers in lieu to their motor fitness components and coordinative abilities.
