Abstract: The present study was carried out to understand the neurochemical and neurobehavioral changes in the development of chronic Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) following bile duct ligation (BDL). Keeping in view the above mentioned objective, male Wistar rats (220-250 g) were randomly divided into two groups viz. sham control (SC) group and BDL group and the study was designed for a duration of four weeks. newline
