As we see around us, almost everything is of synthetic origin. In this list, our healthcare industry, which depends heavily on sensing devices for diagnosis of various diseases, is also adding too much synthetic burden on environment. Our society has to balance these needs with sustainability of our Earth and its environmental components. In this endeavour, here an effort is made to utilize biopolymers for devising sensing platforms to cater the varied needs of our society.
