Psychological well being of athletes in relation to their aggression and performance strategies

Abstract

The survey type study has been formulated to find out the psychological well-being of sprinters, jumpers and throwers in relation to their aggression and performance strategies. A sample of 300 subjects consisting of 150 male and 150 female athletes of Panjab University Inter College were selected through random sampling technique. The findings of the study revealed that there were highly significant differences found between sprinters, jumpers and throwers on the variable of psychological well-being, aggression and performance strategies and moreover, insignificant difference was found between male and female sprinters, jumpers and throwers. However, significant difference found between male and female jumpers and throwers on the variable of aggression and psychological well being and there was insignificant relationship found among sprinters, jumpers and throwers on these variables. newline
