Population Projection Techniques And Demographic Changes In Indian Population A Bayesian Study

Abstract

newlineThe main objective of the present thesis is to provide a population newlineprojection of India up to 2051 using the Bayesian method. While doing so newlinedifferent approaches of population projection will be applied to the project newlinepopulation of India. Based on different approaches a particular approach newlinewill be finally decided based on uncertainty intervals of projection. After newlinedeciding a projection technique on the above-ground final estimates of age newlineand gender-based projections will be made. These age and gender-based newlineprojections will be further utilized to explain the situation of demographic newlinetransition in the Indian population.
