Abstract: This doctoral work focusses on the environmental friendly, cost effective, newlineand scalable synthesis of functional nanomaterials and nanocomposites newlinefor electrochemical energy storage applications. The contemporary newlineresearch aims to demonstrate the scalable synthesis and fabrication of newlineflexible, binder free, self-standing rGO-Ti3C2 composite aerogel newlinesupercapacitive electrode. This thesis also aims to demonstrate the newlineinducing a controlled amount of NiFe2O4 nanoparticles to PANI structure newlineto enhance the electrochemical performance in solid state supercapacitor newlineapplication. Also, the present research aims to take the advantages of newlineaqueous electrolytes for secondary rechargeable batteries. In particular, newlinethis thesis aims to explore and develop vanadium based feasible cathode newlinematerials with improved bulk ion diffusivity, structural stability and high newlinecapacity towards emerging aqueous zinc ion battery application. newline
