In todayand#8223;s world Metal matrix composites materials have foundapplication in many areassuch as Automobiles, Household applications,Aerospace applications, Marine applications and other Industrial applications. These materials are produced from the conventionalproduction process andother processing of metals. Materials like cast iron with graphite orsteel witha high carbide content, as well as tungsten carbidesconsisting of carbides andmetallic binders are also belong to these group of composite materials. Formany researchers the term as Metal Matrix Composites is often equated withthe term of light metal matrix composites (MMCs). In traffic engineering, especially in the automotive industry, MMCs have been used commercially infiber reinforced pistons and aluminum crank cases with strengthened cylindersurfaces as well as particle-strengthened brake disks. newline
