Abstract: ABSTRACT newlineIn recent days, the patient centric model of health care information systems is widely using Electronic Health Records (EHR) for storing, sharing and managing the patient s personal medical data. In addition, there is a need for information systems to share EHR among federation of health care institutions with the consent of patients. In the existing model, the support for EHR sharing capability among the federated cloud models are not efficient or secure. The proposed methodology uses federated cloud computing framework with service oriented overlay network model for collaborative sharing of information ensuring its privacy at granular level. The proposed federation framework is validated by simulating EHR cloud system federation for sharing the health care records. In addition, the system exercises the control on the granularity of the data to be accessed from EHR. The service oriented overlay network is a dynamic network topology which works on the basis of trust negotiations to construct on-demand network of service-specific cloud systems to form federations. The tattle data dissemination protocol is used in finding suitable collaborator which is a trustworthy partnering cloud system among the federated cloud systems. An encryption technique based on attributes of subject under encryption is used to encrypt the patient s medical records to achieve granular newline newline newline newlineaccess control to ensure maximum privacy. Thus, the computation complexity of trustworthy collaboration is minimized and the privacy is enhanced in the service oriented overlay network by using attribute oriented encryption technique. The proposed framework is simulated using cloudsim simulator. From the experimental results, the security of the system is analysed and the computational cost is estimated. On comparison with the existing cloud federation framework, the proposed overlay network model based on hyper trust negotiations is proven to be more reliable.
