Abstract: LM25 aluminium alloy is used in many applications due to its excellent properties such as lightweight, corrosion resistance, good machinability and formability. A new attempt has been made to improve wear and temperature resistance by adding reinforcements such as Nano Aluminium oxide and Nano Silicon carbide in LM25 Aluminium alloy. The main objective of this research work is to manufacture a hybrid LM25 Aluminium based Nano composite Samples (AMNC). The reinforcements are dispersed as nano particles for getting the benefit of enhancing strength. A study of the welding characterization in AMNC samples was made for optimizing the TIG welding parameters such as welding current, arc oltage and shielding gas flow rate as joining the welded butt joint of AMNC Samples. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) was employed for the development of regression models for analyzing the influence of process parameters on the micro hardness behavior of AMNC Samples. Optimized welding Parameters such as Welding current 120A, Arc voltage 21.1 V and Shielding Gas Flow rate (12 l/m) were used for welded butt joint of AMNC Sample S1 S2andS3.Thermal analysis was conducted in the welded AMNC Samples S1, S2 andS3. Experimentation was done in the established automatic TIG welding machine setup and interfacial temperature was measured using a thermo couple detector during the welding process. Temperature profile was generated by Data Temp MX software during experimentation. Experimental results obtained were used for the validation of numerical results. newline
