dc.description.abstractIn the present study Occupational Stress refers to extent of stress which teachers perceive arising from constituent and conditions of their job such as Role Overload, Role Ambiguity, Role Conflict, Unreasonable Group and Political Pressures, Responsibility for Persons, Under-Participation, Powerlessness, Poor Peer Relations, Intrinsic Impoverishment, Low Status, Strenuous Working Conditions and Unprofitability which were measured by Occupational Stress Index (OSI) by Srivastava and Singh (2003). In the present study Big Five Factors of Personality refers to five basic factors of personality i.e. Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism and Openness to Experience which were measured by Big Five Inventory (BFI) by John, Donahue, and Kentle (1991). The study was delimited as following: 1. The study was delimited only to senior secondary school teachers. 2. The study was delimited to only four districts of Punjab i.e. Barnala, Bathinda, Mansa and Sangrur. 3. The study was delimited to those schools which were affiliated to PSEB Mohali. Descriptive method (correlational) of research was employed for the present study. This method is concerned with surveying, describing and investigating the existing phenomenon or issue, conditions and relationships that exist. newline newline newline
