Abstract: | Industrial-scale process development and optimisation are intended for an efficient and robust process to impart desired quality each time. The process development is based on a solid method of synthesis which is optimized using various statistical tools like quality by design and six sigma. It also incorporates rational based processes for the identification of risks probability and control of the associated critical attributes. With the desire to have consistent quality, increased productivity and improved efficiency and look beyond testing to meet desired quality, the risk assessment is inculcated. Risk assessment is a scientific approach to design processes, to ensure predefined product quality with a clear understanding of associated variables, process complexity and to control these with a defined design of space. The developed process of substituted benzofuran moiety, 1-(4-methoxybenzofuran-5-yl)-3-phenylpropane-1,3-dione is based on a solid synthetic route. The processes are optimized with an assessment of risks which are designed with an intention to make it robust, productive, cost-effective, efficient and deliver consistent quality. Based on literature. 1-(4-methoxybenzofuran-5-yl)-3-phenylpropane-1,3-dione had anti Convulsant properties. The dopamine hypothesis of schizophrenia is reported for disturbed and unusual behaviour due to changes in the function of the neurotransmitter dopamine in the brain. The basis of this activity of anti-psychotic activity was planned for evaluation newlinePsychosis is a chronic disorder affecting many populations worldwide. The search for novel pharmacotherapy from medicinal plants for psychiatric illnesses has progressed significantly over the past few decades and their therapeutic potential has been assessed in a variety of animal models. Our study aimed to screen 1-(methoxybenzofuran-5 yl)-3-phenylpropane-1,3-dione for its antipsychotic potential. Dopamine is a neurotransmitter in the brain which have an inhibitory effect on schizophrenia. Dopaminergic theory of schizophre |
