In recent years, there has been a tremendous growth in digital data transmission due to the development of communication technologies which has security, reliability and robustness issues. Data hiding provides the solution for the secured data transmission, in which the data can be hidden into the cover medium such as image, audio, video, or text data. The different newlinemethods of data hiding techniques for protecting the data are watermarking, steganography and cryptography. In the applications like military communication, healthcare, etc., the cover data should be completely recovered after extraction of the secret information. In such cases the reversible data hiding techniques were used for the complete recovery of the secret data as well as the cover information. A good reversible data hiding scheme is characterized by the possession of attributes like reversible, imperceptible, high payload capacity, robustness and minimal side information involved. The embedding capacity, robustness, reversibility and imperceptibility of existing methods can be improved to provide better newlinereversible data hiding algorithms. newline newline
