Abstract: | Currently users are being engaged in many services available in wireless access systems. In the Wireless Communication (WC), frequency spectrum is as expensive as gold. Wireless service providers must spend an enormous extent of money for the right to pay for using the frequency spectrum for communication. Here, every user in the system has a requirement of high data rate because of certain kinds of Quality of Services (QoS). So, demand for high bandwidth is a compulsory requirement. The number of subscribers also expands, which results in saturation of frequency domain drastically. After ten years, the majority of spectrum bands, fit for mobile communication schemes, may be completely engaged and new solutions are essential. One of the promising results is to utilize the quotCognitive Radio (CR)quot technique. Cognitive radios comprise of the potential to carry out this. Cognitive radios have the potential to jump in and out of unused spectrum gaps to enlarge spectrum competence and make the availability wideband services. newline |
