Abstract: | The subject of this dissertation is the analysis for efficiently designing the Radio Frequency (RF) power delivery system to operate the wireless brain computer interface devices.RF Power Delivery (RFPD) is a system for delivering the required power wirelessly to the target device, through intentional high power RF transmission. The chosen target device is wireless Brain Computer Interface (BCI), that belongs to the class of portable wireless devices that normally have, midrange power requirement as well as operating distance ranges which is ideal for getting powered wirelessly over a long period. When radically equipped with the RFPD system, the BCI gets its effectiveness greatly enlarged, by acquiring the most importantly required freedom of movement, that results from the uninterrupted, unwired power.The overall design of this wireless powered BCI system components especially, the rectenna which is the combination of the RF power receiving antenna and the voltage rectifying multiplier, along with the associated impedance matching network and the required power management circuit are explained and analyzed in three distinct stages for efficient performance. newline |
