dc.description.abstractThe biosphere is gradually entering into the Innovation Era from the current Information Era; wherein the Anthropoid race is forced to adapt to the swiftly fluctuating looming technology. The rapid growth in the technology, unmatched with its applications, definitely comforts humanity but at the cost of individual s privacy and security. The surmounting interdependencies of latest computing devices, the steep rise in the number of users; ascertain the focus of attention of the research community towards information security. In this thesis, the heightened trepidations in the evolving digital ecosystem are discussed, with key focus on integrity and privacy solutions that are obligatory to fix the issues arising due to dawn of Big Data and Cloud Computing technologies. This thesis presents a quick abstract review of the various techniques and best Data Integrity Practices with special emphasis on the Provable Data Possession (PDP), its evolution, Third Party Auditing methods, used for conserving privacy and integrity of the shared data in storage applications.
