The land is one of the important natural resources next to water for man to survive on earth. Land use shows how people use the landscape for development, conversion and mixed ones. The land cover data documents shows how much of a data region is covered by natural phenomena such as forest, wetlands, agriculture land, urban land, barren land and waterbodies. Land use and land cover changes over time in response to evolving economic, social and biophysical conditions. Land use and land cover change is a general term for the human modification of earth s land surface, although humans have been modifying land to obtain food and other essentials for thousands of year. Land use and land cover is driving unprecedented changes in ecosystems and environmental processes at local, regional and global. These changes the environmental concerns of human populations today, which include climate change, biodiversity loss and the pollution of water, soil and air. newline
