dc.description.abstract | The dynamic performance of the interconnected power system should newlinebe improved for the consistent and regular power supply through the newlinetransmission lines to the appropriate destination and the stability of the power newlinesystem should be maintained typically. Thereby, the dynamic parameters of the newlinepower system such as aggregated machine reactance and inertias in the transfer newlinepath are evaluated. Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices are used newlineto mitigate voltage instability by reactive power flow and voltage control newlinecriteria. The research concentrates on the transmission line, where Thyristor newlineControlled Series Capacitor (TCSC) is connected in a two area reduced power newlinesystem and it focused the voltage support and reducing the disturbance in the newlinesystem. In electrical power systems and networks, series compensation are newlinehighly involved for improving the transferring power capability between the newlinesystems in lower cost and in minimum installation time. The TCSC is a series newlinecompensated device to reduce the transmission line reactance in order to newlineimprove power flow through it.It provides better reactive power balance ,voltage newlineregulation, load sharing between parallel lines and increases the power newlinetransmission systems dynamic stability. For the analysis, the three phase fault is newlineapplied in the power system and the performance variance of the system is newlineestimated. For making the system more stable and to guarantee the dynamic newlinesecurity, the dynamic parameters are estimated based on the optimization newlinealgorithms. In this work, the search algorithm such as Cuckoo Search (CS) newlineAlgorithm and Bat (BA) Algorithm are used for the parameter estimation and the newlineNeural Network strategy are helpful for enhancing the searching behaviour of newlinethe search algorithms to improve the performance of the power system. newline newline | |
