Abstract

Library is a back bone of the higher education. Academic library gives right and current information at the correct time to the users. Academic libraries involve in providing collection and services and give the need of users. Library helps the research people to improve their research work. The aim of the academic libraries especially college libraries is to enroll the students and faculties as members of the library and motivate them for use the services of this department. Nowadays libraries are in digitalized. The main aim of the digitalized libraries is to provide user community to get information within a second. The other activities of the libraries are journal subscription, OPAC, virtual library, book bank etc. Libraries are gateway to get a knowledge and worldwide current information. The delta region has large number of educational institutions.
