Abstract: Service oriented architecture (SOA) is renowned for self-determining, consistent and self-describing entities known as services. Web service composition is the construction of innovative value-added services for integrating some present web services together. Automatic web service composition is the most convenient method for creating complex business process with the help of existing numerous and heterogeneous web services offered by different sources. The current solution methods are unable to provide accurate results of composition while dealing with semantic web. In order to achieve this, composition problem is transformed into a planning problem. In this research, a graph based semantic web service composition technique has been proposed using index based graph generation and plan generation algorithm to generate an optimal compositional plan. The existing graph plan techniques generate an optimal plan but incur in performance. As Indexing enhance the performance of searching process in data set by minimizing the number of access, index based graph plan approach fastens the plan generation process. The experimental results illustrate improved performance of proposed approach. newlineThe vital challenge of Web service compositions finding how to guarantee reliable execution. Due to their inherent autonomy and heterogeneity, it is difficult to find the behaviour of the service compositions especially in case of failures. Therefore, there is a growing interest for verification techniques which support to prevent service composition execution fails. For verifying the composed web services, a general view of what traits of a service need to be identified is still lacking.
