Abstract: | Present dissertation embodies two chapters. First chapter addresses the overview of rhazinilammarsicarpine- newlineleuconoxine subgroup of Aspidisperma class of alkaloids, literature survey towards newlinethe total synthesis of leuconoxine and related alkaloids that possesses a characteristic newlinediaza[5.5.6.6]fenestrane skeleton and studies towards (-)-leuconoxine. Second chapter describes newlinea novel method for heterocyclization involving benzylic C(sp3)-H functionalization enabled by newlinevisible light photoredox catalysis and its application in total synthesis of (-)-codonopsinine and newline(+)-centrolobine. |
