Abstract: | End-milling is a type of outer milling which is used in the maximum numerous operations in metal cutting industry. It is in use for manufacture of outlines, slots, etches curves and pouches in a variety of components. End-mill cutter is used to produce work pieces of surfaces at the similar time, one at the end face and another at peripheral of the cutter body. newlineThe rightful selection of the parameters that control the machining process such as spindle speed, axial depth of cut, feed rate etc., The cutting tool geometry which includes nose radius and different angles like relief angle, rake angle, helix angle etc., are very predominant and deciding control factors. Machining parameters selection and cutting tool design has a significant influence on the machining process. This parameter creates a deeper and larger variation in surface finishing, stability effect, thermal deformation while machining, requirement of cutting force and finally the production of waste. newline newline |
