Effect of SAQ training on selected physiological body composition and motor fitness variables among school athletes

Abstract

The investigator selected physiological, body composition and motor fitness variables among male school athletes. The selection of the appropriate physiological (Resting Pulse Rate, Systolic Blood Pressure, Diastolic Blood Pressure, Resting Respiratory Rate, Peak Expiratory Flow Rate and Maximum Breath Holding Capacity), body composition (Percentage of Body Fat, Total Body Fat and Lean Body Mass) and motor fitness variables (Speed, Flexibility, Agility, Reaction Time, Dynamic Balance, Coordination, Power and Endurance) were done in consultation with consulted experts in this area keeping the administrating feasibility in mind. The administrating feasibility in terms of availability of instruments, acceptability to the subjects, the time that can be devoted for tests in relation to the training requirement and to keep the entire study unitary. newline
